It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Yolanda F. Snowden, 65, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, who left us peacefully on August 9, 2026, after battling many years with a severe illness. Born in Richmond on September 25, 1960, Yolanda radiated kindness and warmth to everyone she met, wearing her heart on her shoulder and always ready to lend a helping hand.
Yolanda was the proud mother of her son, Chad Snowden, and a devoted partner and fiancée to Randy Wickman. Her family was everything to her, and she poured her love into every moment spent with them. Yolanda was not just a fierce defender of her loved ones; she also cared deeply for her patients during her 22 years at Meridian. Her remarkable spirit and compassion touched countless lives, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
In addition to her time at Meridian, Yolanda was the owner/operator of Highland Video during the early 1990s, a venture that highlighted her entrepreneurial spirit and her love for connecting with the community.
Left to cherish her memory are her son Chad (Danielle) Snowden; grandchildren Aadyn, Makenzie and Mason Snowden; Fiancé Randy Wickman, his daughter Brooklyn Wickman and her children Ivan and Vivian Wickman; aunt Goldie Loudy; cousins Mike Loudy and Tommy Loudy and many other family members and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents LeRoy Nicholson and Alice Loudy Fannin; brother Eric Nicholson and several aunts and uncles.
Public visitation will take place from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at Riggle-Waltermann Mortuary, 32 South 11th Street, Richmond, Indiana. A Celebration of Life service, conducted by the family, will follow the visitation at 7:00 p.m.
