Zoan Christine Gordon, age 70, of Richmond, died Saturday (December 18, 2004). She was born in Richmond on January 28, 1934 to Everett Cottman and Armanthua Adcock Cottman (Watkins) and had lived here all of her life. She was a retired employee of Belden where she had given 28 years of service. She was a member of Bethel AME Church in Richmond and she had volunteered for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Wayne County. Her husband, Morris Richard Gordon, died November 3, 1991.

In addition to her parents and her husband, three sisters, Patricia Stephenson, Lillian Day, Marbecca Watkins, a brother, Albert Watkins, and great grandsons, Damion Rowe, Jr. and Christian Lewis are also deceased.
Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday (December 22, 2004) in Bethel AME Church, 200 South 6th Street. Pastor Barbara Harris will officiate. Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery.
